Stucco Repair, Pressure Washing & Full Exterior Paint
This project involved a comprehensive restoration and refinishing of the Better Business Bureau’s Longwood office exterior. Our team performed a full surface inspection and repair process, including patching and sealing damaged stucco areas to restore a uniform and durable substrate.
Once repairs were complete, the building underwent a complete pressure wash to remove dirt, mildew, and contaminants, ensuring optimal paint adhesion. The project also included sign removal prior to coating to allow for clean, uninterrupted paint coverage across all wall surfaces.
A full repaint of the entryway BBB monument sign was also completed to restore a crisp, high-contrast presentation consistent with the updated exterior.
Entry Monument Sign — Professional Repaint Scope
- Surface preparation: Low-pressure wash to remove dirt, oxidation, and biological growth; spot degreasing where needed; neutralized and allowed proper dry time.
- Substrate repairs: Hairline cracks and small stucco voids were routed, patched, and retextured to match the existing finish; minor edge spalls were feathered for a uniform profile.
- Protection & masking: Electrical fixtures, plaque hardware, and adjacent landscaping were masked or covered; pavement and lawn protected with drop protection and ground boards.
- Priming: Masonry bonding primer was applied to repairs and any chalky areas to promote adhesion and sheen uniformity.
- Body coats: The stucco body received two uniform finish coats of exterior architectural acrylic for color continuity and weather resistance.
- Graphics & lettering: Dimensional BBB flame icon and letterforms were cleaned, lightly abraded, and recoated in deep black, using precision masking for crisp edges and consistent coverage across faces and returns.
- Detailing & QA: Sealant was renewed at penetrations, edges were knife-sharp, and overall sheen was checked in daylight from multiple viewing angles for a professional, even finish.
Following prep and surface conditioning, we applied a high-performance exterior paint system designed for long-term weather resistance and color retention. Special attention was given to maintaining clean edges, consistent coverage, and professional presentation across all elevations.
Notable Challenges & Solutions
- Stucco deterioration: Multiple areas showed cracking and water damage. We performed detailed patching, priming, and retexturing to ensure a consistent finish.
- High-visibility location: Work was completed with minimal disruption to daily operations and visitors, using safety barriers and scheduling coordination.
